About Atlantic Boat Transportation:
Atlantic Boat Transportation, Inc., formerly known
as the East Coast Division of Deep Water Transport,
has been in business transporting boats for over 14
years. All of our drivers are thoroughly trained on how to correctly and safely load and
transport a wide variety of boats including
powerboats, sailboats and catamarans. Our
drivers have over fifty years combined experience in
the boat transportation industry and meet all federal motor
carrier safety regulations.
Atlantic Boat Transportation's
Facilities and Equipment:
In May, 2005 Atlantic Boat Transportation moved into
our new shop and office complex. We have ample
area to operate the business, as well as, enough
area to store boats if needed. A security
fence surrounds the property to keep all boats and
equipment safe. A nine ton travel lift is
onsite to load and off load boats.
We currently own and
operate nine late model conventional tractors.
We use Aldrua/Waltron Low Boy trailers that are
forty eight and fifty three foot long. Our
equipment meets all Federal Motor Carrier Safety
Regulations. All of our tractors and trailers
are air ride. This insures a smoother ride for
your boat during transport.

Our operating area is mainly from the East Coast to
the Mississippi River. We also transport to

licensed and insured. Our United States
Department of Transportation Number is 1071531
and our Motor Carrier Authority Number is

What We Expect from Our
Drivers:
At Atlantic Boat Transportation we know that your
boat is very important to you. That is why we
only hire very qualified drivers who we can train to
load your boat correctly and safely, so that your
boat arrives in good condition. All drivers
hired must be clean and polite, as well as have a
clean driving record, and good references. He
or she must pass a medical exam and a Federal Motor
Carriers drug test. The company trains all
drivers to ensure that every boat they transport is
loaded to company standards. Each new driver
must ride with a qualified driver for a period not
to exceed two weeks. A score is given to the
new driver. He is graded on safe driving,
backing, parking and all aspects of boat loading.
If he does not score 80% or higher, he is not hired.
Our Promise to You:
Each customer that we transport a boat for receives
a contract for the boat transport with a
transportation price that does not change. The
contract tells of the responsibilities of the
carrier, as well as the boat owner. A boat
preparation sheet is sent with every contract.
We stay in touch with the boat owner, the loading
marina, as well as the delivery marina, so everyone
is aware of the pick up and the delivery times.
We do not like surprises and we know that the boat
owner doesn't either.
